HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to perform HLTAID009 cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR in various situations, including community and workplace settings.

Course Delivery:
1-2 hours of Self-paced online learning + 1.5hr minutes face to face classroom assessment.

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
(Superseded by HLTAID003)

Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

3-7 hours of Self-paced online learning + 4 hr face to face class assessment.

Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants and children in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
This unit applies to a range of workers within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthma and anaphylactic emergencies.
This includes early childhood workers and educators who work with school-age children in outside school hours care and vacation programs.

Course Delivery:
3-7 hours of Self-paced online learning followed by a 4hr Face to face class assessment.

Australian rescue first aid delivers training on behalf of APOLA​ (The Australian Pool and Ocean Lifeguard Association). All Surf Safety and Lifeguards courses are delivered face to face, please get in contact for training dates.
APOLA coordinates and delivers lifeguard training, community education, tourism support, public relations, regulation, and risk management programs in consultation with all levels of government and aquatic groups supporting surfing activity. Awards offered cover ocean safety requirements for lifeguards, surf instructors, sup instructors, kayak guides and anyone supervising activities in an aquatic environment.
